J. De La Neziere - Oasis De Nefta

The Malleus Maleficarum - Heinrich Kramer & James Sprenger

This is the official policy, prosecution, and punishment manual used by the Inquisition. Ostensibly the Inquisition was to "purify the faith" by purging western civilization of witches. It's a horrible book, but if you can get past the rhetoric it asks many compelling questions, especially since exorcisms are coming back in vogue with the Church. What, exactly, is the problem?

The Satanic Bible - Anton Szandor LaVey

This book was written in the '60's amidst the anti-social revolution and maintains an archaic air of defiance - even though many of the characteristics of society the author condemns are now commonplace. LaVay, who was ostracized by society at the time, would now be far less radical in context.

Magick - Aleister Crowly

The classic book published at the turn of the century by the master of disaster himself. He claims to be adept in all of the occult arts, but I wish he would have taken just one of the hundreds of concepts he writes about and explain it completely. If your children are into the occult this book will show you what it's all about without going into exacerbating detail.
